Kultuur presents an anthropomorphised wildflower as spectacle while complicating paradoxes of existence: the sun as both life-giving and destructive. The performance explores spectatorship through shifting states of pleasure, indifference, suffering, and hope, confronting audiences with participation and complicity within a collective ritual of exchange. It begins in the street, where encounters with urban life, including a hotdog vendor, open a procession leading audiences toward TINA in a hypnotic drift. Inside the gallery, audiences orbit a constructed sun-like environment collaboratively developed by Metsalu and Boumjimar, where food, drawing, ceramics, sound, and costume form a layered ecology.

Kultuur is realised through collaboration with Jaakko Pallasvuo, Artjom Astrov, Kris Lemsalu with Lotte Jürjendal and CRUDACRUDA, and Nikola Knezevic and Bruno Lillemets, while Boumjimar contributes food, drawings, and ceramics. Drawing on Georges Bataille's notion of excess, the work frames expenditure as a collective act where surplus energy circulates through bodies, objects, and symbolic systems. The sun operates as both metaphor and condition, an overwhelming source of energy that must be consumed, released, or transformed.

In this sense, Kultuur stages collective energy as ritual, where desire, nourishment, and attention are continuously exchanged, reflecting on how meaning emerges through participation rather than observation. It proposes a shared economy of presence and transformation within contemporary performance practice now.
